Dr. Aaron Wong is a Naturopathic Doctor and Registered Therapeutic Counsellor who brings both medical and mental health training into his work with patients and student clinicians. At the naturopathic teaching clinic, he supervises interns in delivering thoughtful, compassionate, and evidence-informed care.

In his clinical practice, Dr. Wong focuses on digestive concerns, thyroid and hormonal health, women’s health, and complex chronic illnesses such as fibromyalgia, POTS, MCAS, and autoimmune conditions. He works closely with people navigating long-standing symptoms that may affect both physical and emotional wellbeing, offering care that is grounded, personalized, and attentive to the full person.

With a strong belief that chronic illness is not just a physical experience, Dr. Wong also supports patients in understanding the emotional and mental health challenges that often come with uncertainty, exhaustion, and being dismissed or misunderstood in medical systems.

As a supervisor and mentor, he helps student clinicians learn how to listen deeply, respond with empathy, and build the kind of trust that supports true healing. He is committed to a model of medicine that values connection, reflection, and the complexity of each individual’s journey.

Dr. Fung is Clinical Faculty supervising senior interns in training to become naturopathic physicians at the Boucher Naturopathic Clinic. He also is an instructor in the Traditional Asian Medicine department at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine - Boucher Campus.

Dr. Fung’s passion lies in cognitive health and dementia. Dr. Fung believes that there is more to dementia than just working with the brain; many metabolic and biochemical factors affect our brain stemming from the body. It is not as if our brains (and heads!) are detached from the body. But instead, what happens in the body also occurs in the head. He believes naturopathic medicine takes a powerful stance in addressing these factors that affect our brains. He takes a comprehensive approach in working with his patients, from screening for inflammation, insulin resistance, and hormones while working on their lifestyles, which contribute significantly to our brain health.

To further his approach to dementia, Dr. Fung has completed numerous training and courses, including the Bredesen ReCODE Protocol, Kharrazian Institute Certificate in Cognitive Decline and Dementia Clinical Strategies and Treatment Applications, is a Certified Brain Health Professional through Dr. Daniel Amen and Amen University, and has obtained Pharmaceutical Prescribing rights in the province of British Columbia, Canada.

Dr. Fung completed his undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Simon Fraser University followed by graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine as a Doctor in Naturopathic Medicine. While building his practice, Dr. Fung went on to complete a Master of Science in Aging and Health from Queen’s University and was subsequently offered acceptance to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Aging and Health also from Queen’s University. At this time, Dr. Fung has completed his comprehensive exams and is now a Ph.D. candidate. He is currently pursuing his dissertation in a qualitative study on dementia screening.
